Samuel Chen will join GEOFORCE group next Fall 2026!
Samuel Chen will join the GEOFORCE group in Fall 2026/2027 as a PhD student in the Theoretical and Applied Mechanics program at NU. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and is the recipient of the prestigious Cabell Fellowship at Northwestern. We are excited to welcome him to the group and look forward to working with him.

Anubhav will join IIT, Kharagpur, as an Assistant Professor on July 1, 2026!
Congratulations to Anubhav, who will join the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur as an Assistant Professor starting July 1, 2026! Anubhav joined our group as postdoctoral researcher in January 2026. While we are a bit sad to see him leave soon, we are happy for him and his career. In the meantime, we are excited to continue our work together on GPU-accelerated 3D modeling of sequences of earthquakes and aseismic slip.

Federico received NSF Standard Grant!
